Anti-Diversion Efforts Rating: GOOD / FAIR/ POOR

Sexyhair is a fairly new professional salon products line. Their sales of diverted product skyrocketed right out of the gate. Sexyhair's management has been very vocal about their fight against salon product diversion from the get go.

Sexyhair's management has been publicly aggressive in its fight against it's products diversion. Sexyhair has a section on their web site dedicated to diversion awareness and remedies. But the diverted sales just keep growing!

According to AC Neilson 2006 1st Quarter statistics, Sexyhair has increased its volume of diverted product sales by 26% over the previous 12-month period.

Sexyhair’s very public anti-diversion policy make for great PR, but apparently has little significant effect, since Sexyhair's products can be found in growing amounts in numerous mass-market outlets.

When it comes to instilling really effective measures, such as using Export Only labeling on products intended for foreign sales and effectively monitoring domestic distributors' product sell through using secondary salon coding, Sexyhair simply doesn't take any real action
